Advantages of ‘IBM DL with CloudHub’

Transmission quality

Efficiently link large amounts of data through a network direct connection and supports stable transmission quality.

Security

Protects sensitive business data by controlling every path on the network and not exposing it to the public internet.

Backup/Save

It can backup/save large amounts of data within a data center quickly and safely using a dedicated network connection.

Cost

It uses a variety of port speeds from 50Mbps to 10Gbps, making it more cost-effective than when using a regular line.

Configuration method

CloudHub, which is an official partner of IBM, combines various connectivity with the lines that is connected with IBM DL to provide connectivity suited to the purpose and environment of the customers.

- It connects colocation resources within KINX IDC or connects infrastructure (on-premises) resources using a dedicated line.
- Hosted connections can support multi-cloud configuration and managed service.

Procedure

  • STEP 1. Determine how to use IBM Direct Link
    - 1G or less: Direct Link Exchange
    - 1G/10G: Direct Link Dedicated
  • STEP 2. Create an IBM Cloud account and apply for a direct link
  • STEP 3. Detailed setting for the direct link with KINX’s responsible staff
    - Select peering location (KINX, Bundang)
    - Select the bandwidth (50Mbps~10Gbps)
    - Configure routing options (local/international routing)
  • STEP 4. Link with KINX CloudHub
    - Provide necessary information such as Service Key (S-Key) and VPN ID to KINX
    - Provide information when setting up the routing environment
  • STEP 5. Complete the connection with the service using the IBM Direct Link
