Introduction

01

Trading Company Aiming to Serve as the Bridge Between Korea and China

Yiruse is a trading company that has been specializing in bilateral trade with Korea and China since 2003, with the aim of serving as a bridge between the members from the two countries. It is currently expanding its business widely across various fields related to China such as trade logistics between Korea and China, online and offline fairs in China, beauty shop chains, and O2O chains.

Background

02

Seeking Ways to Boost Purchases from the Online Shopping Mall by Chinese Consumers

Yiruse is currently operating an online shopping mall for Chinese consumers (dubbed the “reverse direct shopping mall”). In China, setting up an online shopping mall or web service requires a variety of registrations and permits. In the case of a reverse direct shopping mall system, it is possible to build the infrastructure in Korea, as long as the language and payment services are tailored to Chinese customers. It is convenient and cost-effective because there is no need to dispatch employees to China.

However, there are also disadvantages when it comes to the reverse direct shopping malls. It is not possible to provide a pleasant online shopping experience to the locals in China since they are connected to China’s slow Internet circuit, and this can lead to a high bounce rate. In addition, if the Internet speed is slow, packet losses occur due to delays in the response speed, and payments may not be processed properly, which may lead potential customers to simply give up. For these reasons, Yiruse looked for a way to lower the bounce rate and boost purchases.

What did KINX do?

03

Proposing China Direct Connect to Improve Internet Service Quality

We proposed China Direct Connect service as a solution to solve the issues of slow Internet speed and unstable access to the reverse direct shopping mall operated by Yiruse.

China Direct Connect enables the customer to connect Korea and China through China Telecom’s enterprise-dedicated line, CN2, with guaranteed stability and speed. Moreover, there is dedicated personnel at the data center who perform around-the-clock monitoring and provide the technical support necessary in the event of a failure of one of the servers located at KINX IDC.

Four Times Faster Page Loading Rate and Cheaper Costs

Through KINX’s China Direct Connect, Yiruse made it possible for the visitors to its site to enjoy shopping without any inconveniences from viewing the product pages to making payments by speeding up access to the website by more than four times. The company was also able to reduce the number of employees sent to the local IDC as well as infrastructure use, thereby cutting the costs associated with the operation of the shopping site.
