Introduction

Company A, Under Frequent Eternal Attacks

Company A, providing online services, was receiving calls and e-mails from an unknown individual blackmailing them to extort money. At first, they didn’t think much of the threat, but soon afterwards, their services began to be frequently interrupted due to external attacks. Company A did not know how to go about dealing with the situation.

Company B, Needing Security Service According to the Policy of the HQ

Company B was a branch office of a domestic company that was managing its infrastructure under the guidelines set forth by the head office. One day, changes were made to the security guidelines, and Company B had to suddenly apply DDoS/security service to its infrastructure. However, they faced challenges in purchase and applying the high-cost security equipment within such a short time and with a limited budget.

What did KINX do?

Providing K-Clean SOS for Emergency Response and Anti-DDoS Using K-Clean Zone

In the case of Company A, K-clean SOS service was provided to protect them against DDoS attacks by domain delegation in the event of an attack. With L7 equipment, it was possible to quickly and easily respond to the attacks by caching the servers. However, since the attacks were quite frequent, Company A needed a more reliable countermeasure, so we also provided our anti-DDoS service by installing Company A’s equipment in the K-Clean Zone to directly connect it to K-Clean’s DDoS defense system.

In the case of Company B, it was necessary to detect and block abnormal packets according to the security policy of the headquarters and to ensure the server speed no matter what. Thus, we provided our anti-DDoS service that would satisfy the above conditions and allow the company to easily receive DDoS/security service by server migration, without needing to purchase expensive DDoS/Security equipment. Company B was able to comply with the headquarters’ security policy by using the costly DDoS equipment from the large-capacity backbone network at a more economical price without having to actually purchase the equipment.
