Prime MD Academy is the largest education network group in the field catering to students preparing for entrance examinations for college of medicine and college pharmacy. It is equipped with unique content and staffed with experts in the college entrance exams for areas of natural sciences.

Urgent Need to Improve Online Course Transmission Speed and Reduce Infrastructure Costs

Prime MD Academy was delivering and distributing large amounts of online course content through a dedicated server provided by another company. However, it was difficult to guarantee the speed and quality of the content delivery using the existing server, and the company faced the challenges of having to constantly add new servers and update the video player.

What did KINX do?

Proposing CDN Video Streaming, Player and Transcoding

KINX proposed CDN video streaming service to build a VOD system that could guarantee speed and quality by caching Prime MD’s video-based course content. KINX also proposed a video player and transcoding to convert videos into formats for various platforms and to eliminate the inconvenience caused by video player updates. Last but not least, in order to address the problem of piracy, which is the biggest concern among online education service providers, we applied a video security solution authentication module so as to eliminate any chance of illegal reproduction in advance.
