Background

Concerns of Slow Loading Speed Caused by Massive High-Resolution Image Files

DC Inside provides a gallery service where digital images are posted on a bulletin board. As a result, it accumulated a vast amount of high-resolution images, and numerous images are uploaded and delivered to users on a daily basis.

As the number of high-resolution images and users increased, the loading speed of the images gradually slowed down, and session processing problems occurred due to the sheer number of users trying to access these images. The operators of DC Inside expected that the loading speed problem would be further aggravated in the future and decided to opt for KINX’s CDN service to solve this problem.

What did KINX do?

03

Web/Mobile Transmission Service for Quick Loading of High-Resolution Images Anytime, Anywhere

By applying our CDN web/mobile transmission (caching) service, it was made possible to store and send large amounts of high-resolution images from DC Inside to an edge server to ensure fast and reliable loading anytime, anywhere. Also, by using our large-scale infrastructure, the maximum size limit for uploading images was raised so that larger images could be uploaded.

Not only that, as a community portal site, DC Inside was vulnerable to DDoS attacks. Accordingly, KINX provided security service to block DDoS attacks from external sources to protect the service from interruption.

More Active Online Communication Made Possible by Boosting Site Loading Speed and Increasing Max. Image Size Limit

Through KINX’s CDN, DC Inside was able to solve the problem of slow loading speed of the high-resolution images. In addition, by increasing the maximum size limit for uploading images, it is now possible for users to communicate with one another using images that are of superior quality. Each session used to process multiple images has become faster through KINX’s large-scale infrastructure, thereby addressing the issue of service quality degradation caused by network load.
