Background

02

Seeking the strategies to build optimal infrastructure for operating the news site.

DAILY PHARM decided to use IDC, which is run by an IT specialized company, to stably operate a news site that is visited by an average of 9,000 people a day. Because it allows using the optimal Internet infrastructure environment and it can reduce the workload and operational costs than operating its own computer room. In particular, they focused on finding an IDC with an excellent network environment to ensure that DAILY PHARM readers across the country can use the service quickly and stably.

What did KINX do?

03

Providing co-location services with an unrivaled network environment

KINX proposed a co-location service to DAILY PHARM and provided a space and operation management service in KINX’s IDC to install the DAILY PHARM’s servers and network equipment.

KINX’s neutral line service allowed DAILY PHARM to configure the optimal network environment at a reasonable cost. Besides, excellent network speed and stability were secured as KINX’s IDC was connected to major domestic and international ISPs via high-speed lines. It was also attractive that traffic was freely available depending on usage. It was an indispensable advantage to be able to operate a more convenient infrastructure and provide stable services by using additional services such as managed services, firewalls, and security.

Effect

04

Reduce the burden of operating infrastructure and focus on core business

KINX’s co-location service allowed DAILY PHARM to reduce the burden of operating infrastructure and focus its work on its core business. The feature that satisfied DAILY PHARM the most was KINX’s managed service. Since dedicated engineers check the infrastructure status in real-time and provide customer support services, it was possible to respond quickly even if an unexpected problem occurred. Also, it was possible to check the server operation status, network configuration and bandwidth, failure prediction, system information, etc. at a glance through operational reports that were provided regularly.
